About the Program:
Opportunity Knocks is a full service partnership (FSP) treating adults struggling with severe mental health disorders along with a current/recent legal history and are at risk of being homeless or currently homeless.
About the Role:
The Clinical Manager is responsible for all clinical aspects of the program. Under minimal supervision, the clinical manager, reviews and audits clinical documentation and direct service staff training to ensure quality care. The clinical manager participates in program development and interferes with community and county stakeholders to ensure mental health treatment services are provided in a way that maximizes client independence and family empowerment. They will oversee the program referral process and caseload management to assist individuals in achieving more effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development while ensuring compliance with company policy and government regulations. They are responsible for driving operational goals to include those specified by the agency and Board of Behavioral Sciences. This position is essential to delivering quality care and creating success in our centers and therefore an
understanding of the program services is a must.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
-Review and audit of clinical documentation and direct service staff training to ensure quality care.
-Participate in program development and interface with community and county stakeholders.
-Performs administrative functions consistent with the needs of the program.
-Oversee the program referral process and caseload assignments.
-Facilitate and/or participate in treatment consultations/multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings.
-Provide consultation/education to community organizations, human service agencies, hospitals, schools and/or various county departments.
-Oversee utilization review of client services.
-Support and facilitate quality assurance/quality improvement protocols.
-Ensure program compliance with appropriate clinical and performance outcome measures.
-May provide direct client care as assigned, which may include individual, family, group therapy, crisis management and discharge planning.
-Provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed clinicians set by Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) standards.
-May provide face to face weekly supervision (a minimum of one hour of supervision per 10 hours of direct clinical service) of all registered/waivered clinical staff and 2-hour group supervision onsite at the program.
-Provide regular trainings related to crisis intervention and suicide prevention, current clinical trends, documentation
standards and diagnosis- specific interventions.
-Reviews intake and annual assessments and clinical documentation to ensure legally and ethically appropriate service
delivery.
-Maintain and ensures HIPAA, ethical standards and professional boundaries with all staff and clients.

-Collaborates with the Program Director in the development of clinical program content, the development of trauma-informed care and development and implementation of evidenced-based clinical practices.
-Completes and submits required reporting to include quality assurance reports and utilization reviews on program clients.
-Other duties as assigned or necessary to support your department and/or the company.

Requirements:
-Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or relative field, or Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an accredited
college or university.
-Experience working with adult populations with severe mental illness.
-Licensed clinician (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist) that is 2 years post-licensure preferred, and will provide all Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) required supervision to registered/waivered clinical staff in accordance with BBS requirements.
-Proof of valid California driver’s license and auto insurance, as well as proof of education are required.
-Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required.
-Intermediate/Advanced PC skills required.
-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers, direct reports and clients.
-Excellent leadership, interpersonal and customer service skills required.
-Excellent computer knowledge, data entry skills and strong organizational skills.
-Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time while also ensuring the success of direct reports
