A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CLINICAL ORTHODONTIC ASSISTANT
As a Clinical Orthodontic Assistant, you keep our office functioning smoothly while providing exceptional care to our patients. You greet every patient in your chair with a smile, and you help them feel comfortable while setting up for their appointment. Whether a patient is in for a routine check-up or a complex procedure, you explain the treatment to them and help ease any anxieties they may have. You then eagerly assist the doctor with treatment, performing duties such as taking digital x-rays, completing 3D mouth scans, and fabricating retainers.
As you help treat patients, you keep their files updated by diligently documenting all notes, exams, pictures, and treatment plans. At the end of each appointment, you share at-home oral hygiene tips with patients as well as provide rules for appliance wear and care. You then sterilize all equipment and clean the room to prepare it for the next patient. You love interacting with our patients and take pride in helping protect and improve their smiles!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CLINICAL ORTHODONTIC ASSISTANT
- 1+ years of experience as an orthodontic assistant
- Dental assistant training OR lab experience
- X-ray certification

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A CLINICAL ORTHODONTIC ASSISTANT
This dentistry position rotates between both of our locations and typically works Monday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, giving you a 3-day weekend every weekend!
