Maximus is currently hiring for a Clinical QA Supervisor! This position will support our Independent Assessor Program (IPP).
The Clinical QA Supervisor oversees a team of IPP Clinical QA Nurse Analysts for the IPP Clinical QA Department to ensure they are administering and participating in an effective quality assurance and quality control program that plans for, identifies, monitors and resolves issues.
This position is fully remote and an active, unrestricted RN license in the state of New York is required.
About the Position
Maximus administers the Independent Practitioner Panel (IPP), which completes assessment reviews and issues practitioner orders for New Yorkers who qualify for long-term in-home care. This is an exciting new program that directly contributes to positive long-term outcomes for vulnerable populations in New York State.
Education and Experience Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise assigned IPP QA staff, including, but not limited to, completing assignments within timeframe, attendance, staff behavior, reviewing the quality and accuracy of the work completed
- Implement department/team goals identified by IPP QA Manager. Identify and set individual/team goals, supervise the completion of the goals
- Monitor the performance of the assigned IPP QA staff by providing continuous feedback through coaching, team meetings, individual meetings and if necessary, Performance Improvement Plans to assist staff in meeting their individual goals as well as the overall departmental/project goals
- Complete quarterly and annual performance reviews for assigned staff
- Manage the timecards, assignments, and time off requests of assigned staff
- Participate in the development the team assignments/work for upcoming month
- Ensure IPP QA staff effectively monitor and assess all areas of QA operations
- Act as subject matter expert for the IPP QA team members
- Provide ongoing training and support to IPP QA staff; assist the Clinical Training team to identify and/or develop training as needed
- Ensure IPP QA staff maintain updated knowledge of policy and procedure changes
- Identify avenues to improve business processes by analyzing quality data and making recommendations to the Manager, Sr. Manager and Director of Clinical QA
- Raise issues of concern and/or problems to the attention of the leadership of Clinical QA
- Prepare weekly updates for QA Management regarding staff productivity
- Participate in internal audits of policies and procedures
- Foster positive and collaborative relationships with internal and external contacts
- Suggest and implement process improvements
- Provide the IPP QA Manager with updates on all issues regarding quality, training, audit plan and results, as well as policy and procedures
- Meet all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position
Minimum Requirements:
- Active RN Licensure in the state of New York
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of two (2)+ years of related experience in Quality Assurance in a health or social services field OR two (2)+ years of experience with conducting UAS
- 1+ year of recent leadership experience, which includes managing, coaching, providing feedback and performance improvement for a diverse team
- Knowledge of quality assurance, industry quality standards and auditing processes, training tools, research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with a variety of people
- Ability to successfully manage priorities; excellent organizational skills
- Excellent technical skills with the ability to learn and apply new systems quickly

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
