Job Description Summary

This position's primary function is to facilitate, promote, and ensure good clinical practice in the conduct of research protocols in the Department/Center. Manage databases and assist with regulatory submissions. Independently coordinates different phases of complex clinical trials, and works with partnering institutions and other research personnel. Participates in study team meetings and ongoing protocol training/compliance meetings. Adheres to all University and other regulatory guidelines.


This position is contingent upon grant funding.





Job Description


The Clinical Research Coordinator C will be responsible for conducting study visits and data management for sleep-related studies. This includes screening, recruitment, and enrollment of subjects, ensuring patient safety, data collection, entry, study-related testing/procedures, and communicating with research personnel of internal and external sites.


This position is continent upon grant funding.




Job Responsibilities



+ Manage single and multi-site research protocols (including study start-up, daily operations, external site communications, recruitment, enrollment, QA, SOP development, research database management, study closeout). Prepare weekly reports for recruitment/enrollment numbers for Investigator.


+ Correspond with regulatory bodies, such as the IRB, and assist with submissions/modifications.


+ Assist in regulatory oversight of research coordinators. This includes maintenance of study documentation, regulatory binders, CRFs and source documents.


+ Recruit, screen, enroll participants, and assist in data collection, as specified per assigned protocol.


+ Show vigilance in patient safety, protocol compliance, and data quality consistent with all federal, state, University and GCP guidelines (maintain regulatory binders, subject charts, study documentation).


+ Proactive communication with Investigators and research study personnel, in addition to external sites. Work collaboratively with study staff and sites. Attend team and supervisory meetings.


+ Maintain relevant trainings (data collection protocol SOP adherence, PennChart, PennCTMS, REDCap, and other IRB/OCR trainings).


+ Other duties and responsibilities as assigned





Qualifications



+ Bachelor of Science and 4 to 6 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.


+ The candidate must be a good communicator, detail-oriented, organized, accountable, and adaptable

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
