The Center of Excellence Coordinator/ Clinical Reviewer assists in program development, manages the accreditation process, ensuring continuous compliance with program standards, maintaining relevant pathways and protocols, patient education, monitoring outcomes data and collection, and quality improvement initiatives. Required to fulfill case abstraction duties, complete ongoing training and recertification requirements, and retrieve and enter longterm followup data on patients.
- Manages accreditation criteria to ensure that the center meets expectations set forth by governing agencies. Maintains and ensures compliance of all policies and procedures that guide and support the assigned services. These include, but are not limited to Joint Commission (or similar) requirements, federal and state regulations, MBSAQIP and SRC standards, other regulatory standards, etc
- Works with PMG Director and COE Physician Directors to anticipate and identify the needs of the center and creatively implement solutions to problems. Intergrates evidence-based practice into programmatic improvements
- Knowledge of the quality improvement project goals that suport patient outcomes and their association with coordination of care
- Responsible for the oversight ofof the data collection process and verifying that the data collection is consistent with that found in patients medical records
- Maintains knowledge of documentation requiremnts needed for patients’ records including knowledge of computer appliations
- Collaborates on an ongoing basis with the COE Physician Directors, PMG Director, clinic staff and physicians, promoting positive communication and the ability to problem solve at every level
- Maintains knowledge of the preoperative, perioperative and postoperative processes (pathways, protocols, and all elements associated with the coordination of patient care)
- Collect and submit accurate, complete, and timely data to the registries
Job Requirements:
- Current LPN required
- Knowledge and application of medical terminology, basic anatomy, physiology and disease process is required
- Must have completed a technical program in nursing and successfully passed licensing exam
- Proficient in various computer applications such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Outlook, and Hospital Information System (HIS)
- Effective interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with providers and staff at all levels within the organization, patients, and visitors
Preferred Job Requirements:
- BSN preferred in State of Idaho
