Our client is seeking an Clinical Supervisor
Type: Full-Time/ Direct-Hire
Schedule: M-F around 9-5 schedule. 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
Location: New York
Primary:
• Supports the Director in completion of program monitoring and reports to comply with the regulatory agencies, in coordination with Director.
• Provides weekly clinical supervision to program staff and facilitates staff trainings
• Oversees and co-signs clinical documentation of all non-LCSW staff
• Reviews and modifies initial and episodic psychosocial, initial assessments, treatment plans, discharge plans, progress notes and conducts monthly chart reviews.
• Monitors and closely supports clinical care for all high acuity cases in Article 28/OMH program
• Maintain an active caseload of Article 28 and/or OMH patients seeking therapeutic services
• Manages and/or promotes diagnostic consultations between the PCP and the Consulting Psychiatrist on difficult to manage cases or cases where patients are not improving.
• Generates timely, accurate, and content substantive progress notes with treatment goals and interventions that are congruent with the patients' diagnosis and consistent with the scope of practice.
• Facilitates therapeutic groups, if appropriate, and provides individual supportive counseling and coordination to A28/OMH clients for a specialized caseload.
• Supports the Director in updating tracking mechanisms to monitor clients' admissions, discharges and completion of treatment planning on caseloads and high-risk list
• Coordinates and facilitates programmatic meetings
• Develops relationships with internal and external partners
• Remains aware of all clinical documentation policies that ensure comprehensive patient care to meet the regulatory agencies' guidelines.
• Participates in the peer review and QA/QI committee within department and Health Services and thereby ensures, by regular monitoring, that client chart documentation are in accordance with all state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
• Ensures the integrity of the IOS/OMH programs by maintaining confidentiality, ethics, and professional conduct throughout the program.
• Supports and participates in advocacy efforts to end the twin crises of homelessness and HIV/AIDS
• Participates in agency wide continuous quality improvement activities aimed at improving health outcomes for program participants
• Assist with the integration of evidence-based practice within the OP setting.
• Partakes of one-hour weekly supervision.
• Makes themselves available for on-going training and/or certifications as per requirements
• Provides on call coverage on a rotating basis

Qualifications/ Requirements
• Master's degree in social work - Licensed as an LCSW in New York State
• Experience in the provision of psychotherapy utilizing various methods of treatment, including evidence-based practice
• 2+ years of Clinical and/or Administrative Supervisory experience
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
• Dually licensed CASAC encouraged Competencies The following additional competencies are viewed as important to success in this position:
Essential Physical Demands/ Working Conditions
• Must be able to remain in stationary position 50% of time.
Frequently move about inside the office to access file cabinets, paperwork, office machinery, retrieve clients from waiting area etc.
• Frequently stoops, bends, or reach to access files or retrieve other documents.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as calculator, copy machine and computer printer
• Frequently communicates (exchanges information, converse with, express oneself to) with subordinates, vendors, supervisors, community at large, clients regarding treatment, management, incidents, reporting, advertise services.
• Must be able to determine accuracy of reports (figures, balances, documentation such as case notes) perceive risk, discern agitation of clients and deescalate any situation, judge, observe and assess situations germane to residence/case management operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills; articulation and instruction of policy procedure and practice.
• Frequently exchange information in communication with individuals who are agitated, confrontational or difficult clients and staff from a variety of socio-economic, cultural and religious background.
• Occasionally move, position or put files weighing up to 10lbs.
• Occasionally required to traverse public transportation in order to attend meetings, give presentations or meet with clients in community.
• Noise level is moderate
• This is a Hybrid role with one or two telehealth days allotted during the week. The essential functions of this position may not be performed remotely. Must operate cell phone or other technology to determine appropriate response to supervisor, co-workers, clients, community partners and other external care providers.
• Occasional to frequent exposure to clients with infectious diseases.
