Job Title: Clinician 2 - Mental Health
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinician 2 to join our dynamic team of mental health professionals. The Clinician 2 will be responsible for providing clinical assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions to individuals seeking mental health support. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment where you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of clients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address a range of mental health concerns, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, and mood disorders.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support client needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and agency policies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling with a valid LSCW license
- 5 + years of experience including supervisory responsibilities
- Experience with motivational interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT Skills training (any or all of these) is a plus but not required. The team will be trained in all three.
- Must have a valid NY State Driver's License
- Must meet agency driving and insurance standards
- Must have a reliable vehicle
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and treatment modalities.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to formulate comprehensive treatment plans.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and other relevant technology.
