Job Description:
Must be local to the Frankfort, KY areaPurpose: This position is to maintain supported directory and security services that our office within KDE provides to the 171 school districts across Kentucky and KDE employees. In addition, this position will assist with creating strategies to maintain our current services. These services include Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 environments, an active directory forest with 180 domains servicing over 750,000 users, on-premises AD forest to multiple Microsoft Azure AD tenants via Azure AD Connect, and many other critical, high visibility identity and security software services. This position may require periodic on-call duty outside normal business hours to ensure that the supported systems are operating as intended and time sensitive deliverables are addressed. The on-call duties will be defined at the discretion of the client manager and/or the on-call policy for the organization.
Description
- Manage and support the provisioning system from an on-premises AD forest to multiple Microsoft Azure AD tenants via Azure AD Connect.
- Serve as a project resource for major directory and identity initiatives in KY K-12 school districts.?
- Provide operational support and management of the KY K-12 Enterprise Active Directory environment, in cooperation with Microsoft.
- Manage and implement Google Education Workspace standards including the object name, object creation (import/export functions) and all group policy design.
- Lead operational and service migration from an on-premises AD provisioning system to Microsoft Azure (similar service but built on the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform)
- Provide ongoing daily support for the integration of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. This includes daily weekly, monthly and annual tasks to continually monitor and maintain the systems that support Google Workspace and Office 365.
- Provide top level operational support and management of the KETS Active Directory Environment
