Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Architect - Greenville, SC 29607 (40% Onsite, 60% Remote)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and operating a framework that delivers Guided Kubernetes (Kubernetes as a Service) solutions. This role requires expertise in cloud architectures, troubleshooting, and managing cloud environments. The position offers a blend of onsite and remote work, and the candidate must be located in South Carolina.
Key Responsibilities:
- Framework Maintenance: Operate and maintain the framework for Guided Kubernetes solutions.
- Troubleshooting: Address and resolve cluster creation failures and investigate issues through log analysis.
- Upgrades: Perform upgrades of sub-components in preparation for quarterly KaaS upgrades using DevOps tools.
- Issue Resolution: Respond to and resolve issues generated from the ticketing system.
- Cluster Management: Build and test Kubernetes clusters, both guided and manual.
- Documentation: Suggest improvements based on recurring issues and update technical and process documentation.
- Technology Updates: Stay current with advancements in technology stacks, including cloud solutions, logging, HA clusters, and monitoring.
- Project Work: Contribute to various projects such as Product Excellence, Guided Kubernetes Cluster Solutions (AWS/Azure), Cloud Security, departmental application maintenance, and more.
Required Qualifications:
Education: BA/BS in Business, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. MS degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in IT, including at least 2 years in delivering cloud architectures.
Technical Skills:
- AWS Cloud Architecture (Associate or Professional Level Certification preferred) OR AWS Developer Certification (Associate or Professional Level preferred).
- Analytics experience with tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or BI platforms.
- Personal Attributes: Strong passion for IT and cloud computing, with an ability to understand and translate business needs into IT solutions.
- Availability: Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation approximately every 3-4 weeks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Docker/Docker Swarm, Jenkins, Terraform, and Python programming.
- Experience working in a large or international company.
Additional Information:
The role requires periodic onsite presence in South Carolina and the ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
