Cloud Security Engineer (remote) - Tandym

A recognized financial services company is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their team as their new Cloud Security Engineer.

***The qualified professional in this role can sit at either the company's Los Angeles or NYC-based office.***

Responsibilities:

The Cloud Security Engineer will:

• Manage, configure, and utilize network protection components (e.g., Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, XDR, EAP-TLS/PKI, SOAR, SD-WAN)
• Manage and develop a team of employees including training, development, performance management, administration, and workforce planning
• Follow and audit, network and security governance policies, procedures, and standards
• Provide guidance to the engineering staff which aligns design and implementation to IT governance
• Support Breach and Attack Simulations
• Administer testing platform and work with vendor to ensure proper configurations / features are enabled and working as expected
• Perform firewall reviews of bank firewalls/other perimeter security devices, and create reports based on findings
• Research and develop skills personally and share insights with the team
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Information Systems security standards and practices (e.g., access control, system hardening, system auditing, log file monitoring, security policies, and incident handling)
• Experience of hands-on Security knowledge of one or more of the following platforms: Firewalls, UTM, Forward/Reverse Proxies, DDoS Mitigation, Log aggregation, etc.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Security controls and configurations
• Experience with on prem to Azure Cloud Migration
• Strong working knowledge of API Security
