Collections Coordinator
The Collections Coordinator is responsible for managing the collections process of an organization, ensuring that all outstanding debts and balances owed to the company are collected in a timely and efficient manner. The Collections Coordinator will work closely with internal stakeholders, including customer service, sales, and accounting teams, to ensure a seamless collections process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the company's accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate payment of outstanding invoices
- Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to collect on overdue payments and negotiate payment plans as necessary
- Investigate and resolve any disputes related to customer accounts, including working with the sales team and customers to reconcile discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information in the company's database and other collections software
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements to streamline the collections process
- Analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify accounts that require escalated collections efforts or legal action
- Prepare and present reports on collections activity to senior management on a regular basis
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with customers while working to collect on outstanding debts
- Assist with other accounting or administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate payment plans and handle difficult conversations with customers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience working with a variety of customers, including individuals and businesses
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Work Model:
This client currently has a hybrid work model, with 2-3 days in office per week.
Compensation:
$56,000 - $59,000 annual salary
