Chenega Enterprise Systems & Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for an Combat Casualty Care Microbiologist to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). In this role, you will serve as a scientific and technical advisor to ARPA-H—enabling the agency to manage and provide oversight to advanced R&D efforts; help shape future R&D concepts, programs, and solutions; integrate and advance our nation’s health care ecosystem processes, policies, and enabling technologies; and enable the agency to expand its health care and scientific scope into yet unknown areas. As a “systems engineering and technical assistance” advisor, you will provide support and thought leadership to R&D performer teams, Government Program Managers, and stakeholders across the health innovation ecosystem. This role supports the Proactive Health Office (PHO).

Responsibilities
- Serve as a microbiology advisor
- Advising and guiding program initiatives related to microbiology research for PHO.
- Experience and knowledge working in combat casualty care and public health policy.
- Stay current with scientific advancements:
- Actively track and analyze new research findings in this field.
- Identify and propose emerging methodologies and technologies that could enhance the program's progress.
- Participate in scientific discussions and presentations, contributing your expertise to the program's overall knowledge base.
- Collaborate effectively within a diverse team:
- Build strong relationships with computational scientists, engineers, and other scientific advisors involved in the program.
- Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive the program forward.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- PHD. in Microbiology or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience
- Demonstrably strong expertise in Microbiology research
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write scientific reports.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and a passion for healthcare and scientific discovery.
- Experience in combat casualty care and public health policy.
- Three years or more experience within a Federal ARPA organization.
- Two years or more experience in Federal Healthcare and/or Scientific Consulting.
- Experience supporting complex healthcare and programs of a research and development nature.
Final salary determination based on skill-set, qualifications, and approved funding.
