LDKerns Contractors is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing the costs associated with commercial construction projects, from reviewing plans and specifications to managing bids and schedules. This role is critical in ensuring that our projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

• Review and interpret commercial construction plans, specifications, and general conditions to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the project requirements.
• Identify and manage work conditions, including inspection and testing requirements, time limits, sequencing, and other project-specific considerations.
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors, soliciting bids and ensuring that all aspects of the project are accurately covered.
• Develop tentative project schedules, considering specifications, site conditions, and other factors affecting the timeline.
• Accurately quantify materials, labor, and equipment needed for project completion, ensuring precise and competitive bids.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with owners, design professionals, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.

• Proven experience in managing the full construction life cycle, from foundation to roof.
• Expertise in conceptual estimating, with the ability to work closely with architects to ensure designs fit within budget constraints.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction estimating, project management, or related construction roles.
• Proficiency in relevant estimating software, such as ProEst Construction Estimating Software, and general computer literacy.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with construction scheduling, cost estimating, and value engineering.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
• Desired: Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in the commercial construction sector.
