About the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for contract drafting, contract administration and other tasks as assigned. Natural gas scheduling experience, though not required, will be a big plus for this position. Petrolink deals with a wide spectrum of contracts (processing, purchase, sale, transportation, gathering, treating, balancing, etc.) for a variety of product types (gas, condensate, NGLs). This position will report to the Managing Director of Petrolink.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- This position works closely with management, accounting, operations, legal and marketing.
- Review of contracts to provide feedback to management and team members
- Review and process assignment of interests
- Draft contracts, exhibits and amendments
- Research and respond timely to internal and external data requests
- Assist with preparation of PowerPoint presentations for management
Minimum requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in contract administration, scheduling or accounting may be considered as a substitute for a degree.
Experience / specific knowledge:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience (Contract Administrator) in the energy industry within the contract administration, scheduling, or accounting departments
- Natural gas scheduling knowledge/experience a big plus
- Familiarity with midstream agreements with strong emphasis on gas processing, sales, purchase, and transportation
- Knowledge of gas processing plant transactions and related contractual set up
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to achieve results with accuracy, a sense of urgency, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks under deadlines with an emphasis on organizing and prioritizing workload
- Experience and working knowledge of contract legal terms and general terms and conditions
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to persuasively present ideas and project results to peers and management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Keen analytical skills to successfully troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Must be able to work within a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, and focus attention on details
- Strong aptitude for understanding and working in computer systems.
