The Controls Technician II position for Building Automation Systems (BAS) is critical to our success in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service as it relates to the installation, programming, and service of commercial digital control systems while maintaining quality and profitability.

A Day in the Life:
The Controls Technician II will provide technician support for Building Automation Systems (BAS), service contracts, system upgrades, and controls related service requests.
* Provide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
* Identify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems.
* Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customers.
* Maintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programming.
* Provide controls technical support to HVAC technicians.
* Create and/or implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projects.
* Commission controls installations and verify that control sequences meet scope, design, or specifications.
* Provide training and follow-ups for Customers and operations personnel.
* Complete work orders and review with customers for accuracy.
* Continually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively.

What you will Bring:
Required
* High School Diploma or GED.
* 3 years of related experience with increasing responsibility.
* Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
* Ability to lift 50lbs with or without an accommodation.
* Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district.
Preferred
* Experience in BAS, HVAC, or related industry.
* Proficiency with test instruments and calibration tools.
* Competency in operation of engineering/commissioning tools, DDC controllers and field devices, BACnet protocol fundamentals.
* Competency in the operation of HVAC equipment and controls.
* Ability to understand written sequences of operation.
* Ability to read low voltage wiring diagrams and controls flow diagrams.
* Niagara AX and/or Niagara 4 certification.
* Experience with any common integration protocols such as: BACnet MST / IP, LON, Modbus TCP / RTU, Ethernet OIP, MQTT, or SQL.
* Strong computer skills, including computer networking fundamentals.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Customer-focused, results-oriented professional, and strong team player.
* Motivated self-starter that demonstrates initiative.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized.
* Current first aid / CPR card.
