A commercial insurance account manager works asa liaison between clients, agents, and insurance companiesTheir responsibilities include:

• Overseeing existing accounts, evaluating and marketing renewals, and placing new business
• Responding to requests for information, answering questions about coverage, and providing updates on claims
• Submitting claims notices to insurance companies, following up with clients, and adjusting claims
• Reviewing renewals for accuracy, negotiating renewal terms, and identifying if another insurance company may be a better fit
• Explaining audit procedures to clients and reviewing interim reports
• Keeping track of all necessary documentation, including policy changes, important deadlines, and legal regulations
• Working with agency producers on new and renewal business, and partnering with underwriters to place small accounts
• Contributing to marketing activities

Our Client is a highly successful and growing commercial insurance agency located in Sussex County, NJ. They are seeking a licensed Commercial Insurance Account Manager with at least 3 years’ experience servicing commercial business.

General:

· Candidates should be strategic thinkers who value honesty & Integrity with an absolute commitment to client care.

• Responsible for servicing all aspects of an assigned book of commercial lines business.
• Experienced in working with clients on a daily basis.

· Experienced in rate-making and general knowledge of underwriting

Requirements:

· Valid Insurance license.

• Fluent in insurance terminology, insurance protection and its application for client needs, rating, and available Insurance markets.
• Experienced in managing staff to efficiently handle workflow and daily problems.
• Exceptional organization and time-management skills
• Must be organized and be able to prioritize.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly self-motivated, positive attitude, innovative, reliable, high integrity and honesty, proactive problem solver
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, esp. Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
• Experienced with Applied Tam preferred

· Professional Designations such as CIC, CRM, ARM, CPCU, AAI a plus
