[Job Description]
Provide Sales / Pricing Guide
- Analyze local market and industry specific trends to provide market intelligence used by the sales team to target new and existing customers as well as prepare them for issues customers may have.
- Using the selling price negotiated in S&OP meetings, provide selling price range based on customer needs, volume, and sales plan targets.
- Determine price position for each product and market by performing market research for similar product/industries, providing competitive benefit/feature analysis of products by market/industry and provide information to marketing teams for each business unit (local and at HQ).
- Collaborate with Sales team members to obtain key account information used to establish key performance indicators (KPI’s) to track pricing strategies, market share, competitive trends within the market, as well as other data used by Sales to support market expansion and achieve business goals
Monthly Closing / Performance Management
- Prepare progress and month-end close summary reports that provide region business unit performance vs sales plan, individual performance vs plan goals and other performance measures.
- Collect and prepare basic data to analyze the cost structure and market position of products in the region to determine the profitability of products to provide data driven recommendations for retention or withdrawal from specific markets.
Regional S&OP Management
- Prepare information derived from regionals sales plans, demand volume, negotiated pricing by business unit and product to be used for Global S&OP meetings and discussions).
- Collaborate with team members and research market trends to acquire information used to make data-driven recommendations to set volume and base selling prices that will optimize profits.)
Product Portfolio Management
- Analyze the cost structure and profitability of products within market segments to develop and implement strategies aligned with business goals to achieve/exceed profit plans.
- Analyze data from a sales and/or production lens to identify cost improvements and make recommendations on withdrawal or retention of products.
[Qualifications]
- Bachelor OR Advanced degree in Finance, Sales, Marketing or other Business-related degrees
- 5 years of experience in Commercial Marketing with demonstrated success in analyzing sales plans and developing pricing strategies to enhance performance.
- Experience working within a large Chemical corporation providing market data analysis to support chemical/polymer product sales.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Excellent time management skills ? able to handle multiple projects.
- Bilingual Korean/English is a plus
