The Commercial Roofing Operational Support Manager is responsible for inspiring their team toward a common goal and purpose. This includes coaching, mentoring, supporting, and empowering personnel. Duties and responsibilities include ensuring a World-Class safety culture, compliance with company policies, supporting branch operations, understanding human resources, involvement with departmental personnel, customer centric practices, and best practices associated with Quality Assurance and Quality Control.

Requirements |

Minimum Qualifications |
- High school education
- 5 years of management experience of 10 or more people
- 10 years of commercial roofing experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
- Computer – Experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and scheduling
- Excellent writing skills
- Exceptional organizations skills
- High degree of self-confidence
- Motivated and professional
- Must speak English fluently and Spanish is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of roofing which includes – BUR, shingles, tile, single-ply, metal, waterproofing techniques and products, working knowledge of trusses, light weight concrete deck systems, and AC work that is closely related to roofing

Essential Functions |
- Own the results for creating a QA/QC culture that puts “Always Good Work” at the forefront of daily practices
- Champion the Baker “Fundamentals” in both actions and words
- Ability to interact with a diverse group of people in order to inspire a high-functioning team
- Regular audit of documentation reports, photos, and site summaries
- Periodic participation in meetings with each department to review current QA/QC practices
- Promote a culture of QA/QC accountability with GMs or Operation Mangers and their staff
- This includes participation in the QA/QC related meetings both locally and corporately
- Review monthly QA/QC metrics and provide feedback and action items to branch level teams
- Participate in industry related events, especially those focused on new products, best-practices, or knowledge sharing
- Participate in project start meetings as needed/dictated by scope/difficulty, customer, size, etc.
- Be aware of equipment needs and purchases related to current inventory within the company as well as equipment that may be needed for specific jobs
- Collaborate with OMs/ GMs with regards to internal divisional recognition and/or reward programs related to QA/QC
- Collaborate with OMs/ GMs on strategic plans for QA/QC improvement
- Be aware of local market and establish plans and resources to maximize output

Physical Demands |
- Requires standing up for long periods of time
- Requires use of ladders, scaffolds, and stairways
- Requires ability to climb, lift, balance, walk, and handle materials
- Requires use of abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing
- Requires seeing details at close range
- Requires repetitive movement, bending or twisting, kneeling, crouching, stooping or crawling
- Requires ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items weighing 50 pounds regularly

Work Environment |
- The ability to travel as needed, based off of work locations, internal or external meetings, etc.
- Requires working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions, in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32 F degrees) temperatures, including exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable
- Includes exposure to contaminants, hazardous material, or equipment
- Mistakes are not easily correctable and have serious consequences, therefore Safety procedures need to be followed
- Requires exposure to minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings
- Requires exposure to high places or dangerous conditions
