Job Title: Commercial Service Technician
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Service Technician to join our expanding team in Maryland. This role involves servicing a variety of security equipment and systems, ensuring high customer satisfaction and efficient problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and troubleshoot security equipment including Access Control, Hardwire and Wireless CCTV cameras, low voltage cables, locks, motion sensors, and more.
- Communicate effectively with Security Management, End Customers, Project Management Teams, and Technical Support teams.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve hardware issues efficiently.
- Manage a weekly service call schedule, typically handling an average of 4 tickets per day.
- Utilize a company vehicle for service calls.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial security field.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving security systems such as Alarm.com, DMP, DSC, Qolsys, Bosch, Honeywell, Concord, and Vista.
- Experience with motion sensors, door locks, glass break detectors, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in small teams.
- Knowledge of low voltage cable installation and working in both new construction and occupied commercial buildings.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with fire alarm systems (Silent Knight, Potter AFC).
- Customer service orientation and technical service experience.
- Familiarity with SLA and ticketing systems.
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong fire experience is a huge plus.
- Ability to manage work schedules efficiently and provide customer support.
