Job Summary: At SafeTouch Security, our Commercial Security Systems Service Technicians are responsible for repairing, maintaining, and installing security systems in commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain or repair commercial security systems, including access control, CCTV, gate systems, and other related technologies.
• Keep cabling neat and in accordance with all codes and standards.
• Follow all safety guidelines.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on security systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with security systems, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their security needs, provide recommendations, and explain system functionalities and features.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and inspections in accordance with company policies.
• Work closely with other technicians, departments, and vendors to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Keep current with the latest security technologies and industry trends.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Perform limited travel as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in security systems or related preferred.
• Experience in installing and servicing electronic security including access control, low voltage, or electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electronic systems, networking, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with local and national security codes and regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Pass drug screening and background requirements.
• Valid driver's license and insurance-approved driving record. Maintain less than 3 points on fleet driving policy.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift 25 pounds occasionally.
• Work on a ladder up to 20.
• Work outside.
• Comfortable working in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
• Perform all other physical tasks associated with the job.

Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt

Hours: Monday through Friday
