POSITION SUMMARYCBES is seeking a Commissioning Agent to join our Engineering Specialized Field Services Department
This role will support the installation of Refrigeration and EMS systems on new construction projects and remodels
The Commissioning Agent will be crucial in ensuring the final acceptance of Refrigeration, HVAC, and EMS systems at client sites as we complete our construction and remodel programs
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and is committed to delivering reliable commissioning and start-up support to our clients
Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and experience with supermarket HVACR/BAS systems are essential for success in this role.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESConduct site visits during construction or remodel phases to inspect project progress and ensure adherence to installation and programming guidelines as per the project SOW.
Develop a comprehensive commissioning plan for each assigned project based on specifications from the Refrigeration, MEP, and EMS Engineering teams.
Execute on-site commissioning tasks, including point-to-point testing and verification of programming for all EMS-controlled equipment.
Commission all HVACR equipment installed or relocated during the construction project.
Prepare interim commissioning reports as needed and a final report outlining any exceptions or out-of-spec conditions.
Implement minor control wiring and programming changes as necessary.
Perform minor repairs and adjustments on HVACR equipment.
Assist with startup support on all new system.
Collaborate with the Construction Project Manager to address and rectify any identified exceptions.
Travel extensively throughout New England, with 90% travel required.
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCEMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience in supermarket construction, engineering, or maintenance.
Proven experience with large rack systems DX, Cascade, Micro DS, and Transcritical.
Proficiency in operating and programming Danfoss and/or Emerson supermarket control systems.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Strong oral and written communication abilities.
AutoCAD experience is beneficial but not required.
