Communications Associate at Beacon Hill

Our client, a non-profit organization located in Morningside Heights, is seeking a long-term temporary communications associate! This person will support key communications strategies related to the organization's programs and events. This role starts ASAP (ideally 10/21) with a temp contract through the end of the year. This is a Part-Time role - 25 hours/ week. It will follow a Mon-Fri schedule, with the option to work in the mornings or in the afternoons (the org's hours are 10-6 so it has to be within that window). Option to go to the office 1-2 days per week, otherwise remote is totally fine. Primary responsibilities include drafting social media copy from existing talking points and approved language, responding to media inquiries, drafting press materials, maintaining media monitoring service (including building press lists) and organizing communications folders and other duties as assigned. Hourly pay rate is $28-33/hr DOE.
