Position Summary:
The Temporary Communications Consultant will also be a liaison between Ticket Services and the LA Galaxy Social Media and Website teams. They are responsible for maximizing season ticket renewal percentages by providing outstanding customer service, developing personal and long-term relationships with their clients, and proactively overcoming objections and challenges that may hinder their clients' likelihood of renewing.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, build and maintain positive personal relationships to ensure the retention and renewal of LA Galaxy Season Ticket Members. Relationships will be built through systematic and meaningful contact including outbound calls, out-of-office face-to-face appointments, personalized letters, game day seat visits, customized emails, prompt responses to inbound calls, and other special team-related events.
- Manage @lagalaxyservice social media accounts by developing monthly content, interact and responding to online questions and comments as well as promoting ticket sales initiatives.
- Gather content for monthly Member Newsstand to ensure Season Ticket Member stay informed on benefits and offerings included in their membership.
- Coordinate with the LA Galaxy Social Media and Website teams to ensure accurate and informative content is present online.
- Be the main lead on the Season Ticket Member of the Match award.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred)
- 2-4 years of Relatable experience in sports and entertainment
- Proven experience working in Game Entertainment and/or Ticketing. Specific experience managing client facing accounts and cross departmental initiatives is preferred
- Experience with a professional sports team is preferred
- Strong sales and customer service background with the ability to multi-task, meet tight timelines, and work effectively in a high pressure and fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of social media (Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.), email and web platforms
- Proactive, highly organized, and resourceful with great attention to details
- Proactive with the ability to work independently without the need for immediate supervision.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize workload efficiently and quickly
- Must have a strong command of reasoned, measured decision-making based upon analyzing the pros and cons of each potential decision to be made
- Ability to professionally handle highly sensitive and confidential information
- Must be creative, idea-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative team-based environment
- Must be technically proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel) with the ability to learn required business systems
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to professionally communicate and interact with all levels of management, staff, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and cultivate relationships
- Knowledge of soccer and MLS is preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish, is a plus.
Pay Scale: $22.49 - $32.80
