Job Description:Exempt, 40 hours per week position with sales incentives to: engage entrepreneurs in the Sioux Falls area; connect entrepreneurs with professional services and resources; solicit & retain memberships, and manage the marketing and promotion of the organization, including: coworking, bookings & rentals, programs, and events.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
Salary: $48,000-$54,000 DOE + sales incentives

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Membership Sales & Retention: Leads engagement and recruitment strategies for new and existing Startup members. Coordinates onboarding processing for coworking members with support from the Facility & Admin Specialist. Tracks sales goals, monthly and annual metrics, and CRM-related information.
- Member Engagement: Manages the Startup Squad ambassador program, and coordinates Founder Meetups and other industry-specific meetups in the facility. Seeks customer input from members to ensure satisfaction and growth. Maintains a healthy, productive, and inclusive startup member culture.
- Resource Navigation & Tours: Manages the Resource Navigation process for new founder clients seeking support to grow their business. Provides a front-line level of support to members and their guests in the facility, and welcomes potential clients and members by giving tours and answering facility-related questions.
- Marketing Management: Manages the Marketing Committee by recruiting and engaging members, running efficient meetings and executing on the committee’s strategic direction. Creates and manages an annual marketing plan to increase exposure, successfully fill programs and events, and drive membership and rental sales. Hires and coordinates contracted marketing/advertising vendors and the subsequent budget. Tracks impact metrics, quality control, and tone/voice/messaging consistency. Light graphic design and social media management as needed.
- Communication & PR/Media Relations: With direction from the President, assists in promoting Startup Sioux Falls and its activities by updating the Startup Sioux Falls website, communicating relevant email messaging to segmented groups, generating a consistent newsletter to large contact group and members, contributing regularly to social media channels and groups, and presenting to affiliated organizations & groups as well as media appearances and interviews.
OTHER DUTIES:
Additional Duties: Assumes additional responsibilities for Startup Sioux Falls as directed by the President.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required):
- Post-secondary degree preferred with some post-secondary education required.
- Client service & sales experience of 1 to 3 years and marketing/communication experience a priority. Entrepreneurial education or coworking/meeting room space management experience is a plus.
- Experience and competency with using Windows or Mac in a shared network environment and productivity applications such as: Google Suite, Trello, Slack, Zapier, etc. Preference for experience with web content management and CRM systems such as or similar to Office RnD, WordPress, Transpond, Capsule CRM, and social media platforms. Other layout, communications, and graphics software (Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalents) are a plus.
- Some QuickBooks Online experience is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and directed; able to handle multiple projects simultaneously; works well under pressure and exercises good judgment.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and business casual dress code.
- Ability to use discretion in handling matters of a confidential nature.
- Top-notch problem-solving skills.
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and in-force insurance, with the ability to operate and occasionally travel locally and regionally by motor vehicle.
- Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
