As Recovery.com continues to expand, we seek a strategic and dynamic professional to oversee the management of Recovery Media's contributor network alongside media talent recruiting and public relations efforts. This multifaceted role is crucial for attracting top talent to support our mission, nurturing strong relationships with external contributors, and upholding a positive public image. The position will specifically focus on Talent Acquisition for our podcasts and other media productions and Public Relations Coordination, ensuring our outreach is effective and aligned with our organizational goals.
You will play a crucial part in two key areas:
- Recruiting Top Talent for the Contributor Network and other initiatives): sourcing guests and contributors that align with our mission, making first contact and building relationships.
- Public Relations and Brand Visibility: As our PR liaison, this person will build relationships with influencers and community partners, enhancing our public presence and ensuring Recovery.com is recognized as an authority in the field.

Responsibilities:
Recruitment Responsibilities
- Identify and Attract Talent:
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies to source guests that are aligned with Recovery.com's mission and values, specifically for the Contributor Network and other Recovery Media projects.
- Manage the Onboarding Process:
- Follow the Contributor Network process for onboarding and initiating contributions..
- Build and Maintain a Guest and Contributor Pipeline:
- Cultivate relationships and maintain an ongoing pool of qualified contributors and guests.
- Guest and contributor coordination, including contracting and guest appearances.
Public Relations Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain Media Relationships:
- Build and nurture relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to promote Recovery.com's initiatives.
- Coordinate PR Campaigns and Events:
- Support planned campaigns that align with Recovery.com's mission, targeting audiences in the mental health and recovery space.
- Organize and support events, webinars, and media engagements to promote brand visibility.
- Support Collaborative Partnerships:
- Work with community organizations, nonprofits, and influencers to strengthen Recovery.com's presence and impact as they are developed.
- Explore cross-promotional opportunities to extend the platform's reach further as they are developed..
Integrated Responsibilities
- Align Recruitment and PR Efforts:
- Ensure that both recruitment and PR initiatives reinforce Recovery.com's brand and mission.
- Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to align messaging and strategy across campaigns.
- Track Key Metrics and Report Results:
- Monitor recruitment KPIs (e.g., time-to-hire, retention) and PR metrics (e.g., media coverage, engagement).
- Provide regular updates to leadership on progress toward recruitment and public relations goals.
Required Qualifications
- Strong Communication Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills,
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, from candidates to media contacts.
- Demonstrated PR Experience
- Must have at least 50 successful placements for brands under management in publications.
- Relationship-Building:
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates, media outlets, and external stakeholders.
- Strong networking skills to source talent and enhance the organization's public profile.
- Project Management:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, balancing recruitment deadlines with PR campaign schedules.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Creative Problem-Solving:
- Innovative mindset to find creative solutions for recruitment challenges and PR opportunities.
- Ability to think strategically and execute plans that align with organizational goals.
- Digital Literacy:
- Familiarity with social media as a tool for both recruitment and PR campaigns.
- Data-Driven:
- Strong analytical skills to track and measure key recruitment and PR metrics.
- Ability to make data-informed decisions to refine recruitment processes and PR strategies.
- Adaptability:
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, adapt to changing priorities and balance recruitment and PR responsibilities.
Additional Qualifications
- Knowledge of mental health and recovery issues is highly preferred, as this role supports the mission and vision of Recovery.com.
- Experience in crisis communication or reputation management is a plus.
- Passion for working in the nonprofit, healthcare, or recovery space and aligning with Recovery.com's mission to support mental wellness.

Travel Expectations
2-4 weeks per year: to travel to company retreats and to home office or other locations and events as needed.
Compensation
The compensation for this position begins at $45,000-50,000 plus eligible benefits. Compensation may be adjusted based on tenure and experience.
Equity Options
In addition to your cash compensation, you will receive options to buy stock in Recovery.com at a set strike price. These options will vest on a four-year schedule and present an exciting opportunity to benefit from the upside of our company's growth.
Quarterly Bonus
An additional 10% of base earnings is paid out quarterly when the company meets its revenue target.
Dane County Housing Stipend
We strongly value in-person work and collaboration, so for full-time employees residing in Dane County, we offer a housing stipend of $689/month in addition to your salary ($8,268/yr; half of the Fair Market Value of a 2BR apartment in Madison according to rentdata.org).
