WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER
The Community and Equitable Conservation team works within the North America Region Business Unit to achieve the Conservancy's 2030 goals by advancing the global human rights policy and equity in conservation through strategy, facilitation and support. As a science-grounded organization, we grow and evolve in response to the evidence in front of us. The evidence demonstrates that conservation is more creative, innovative and durable when local communities and those most directly impacted are leading and co-leading identification of the challenges and design of solutions. The CEC PM role will identify improvements focused on applying inclusive and equitable practices within our Conservancy's conservation initiatives and in the CEC program.
The CEC Project Manager works closely with the Director of Community and Equitable Conservation to develop and collaborate with a network of TNC field colleagues to support the adoption of key actions and initiatives. They may advise TNC communications, marketing and philanthropy staff on issues related to equity in conservation.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU
The Community & Equitable Conservation Project Manager (CEC PM) facilitates the implementation of equity in conservation within the North America region. In this role they'll support conservation practitioners' adoption and integration of actions that center equity in strategies, programs and projects. The CEC PM works internally to manage priority projects and serves as a technical resource. They may take the lead on development and implementation of strategies, projects and partnerships.
The CEC Project Manager is joining an emerging program, and as such will be leading and supporting a range of program development projects, with the opportunity to influence and shape program establishment. The Project Manager will support communications, presentations, various research projects, and coordinate meetings. They may represent the CEC in meetings or forums. The Project Manager works flexibility and adapts to changing circumstances that will be expected with a developing program. They are grounded in TNC values and approach work with a collaborative minds

The CEC PM role will chart the course in new and unknown spaces and in applying principle of equity into practice. This role includes diversified work and this may not always fall under established projects, processes, or streams. They use project management tools and strategies to develop detail-oriented work plans, facilitate meetings and ensure clear roles and action items. The CEC PM role works in ambiguity and will need to think holistically about a full range of ideas and perspectives. This role works at a regional level on large and complicated initiatives, processes, and projects within a matrixed organization.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, finance, political science, public policy, or related field and 4 years related experience, or equivalent combination.
- Experience leading complex projects or strategic initiatives in an unstructured environment.
- Experience researching, critically analyzing, and evaluating information from divergent sources and compiling it into cohesive reports and recommendations for strategy and action.
- Experience writing and editing promotional and informational material.

SALARY INFORMATION
The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $59,000 - $94,000 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
