Overview
Become a Community Health Intervention Specialist! Are you driven to make a difference in the lives of youth? Join our team as a Community Health Intervention Specialist, where you will lead and implement impactful programs aimed at preventing and intervening in youth substance use.
In this role, you will:
Lead and Inspire: Develop, coordinate, and evaluate evidence-based programs that support at-risk youth.
Collaborate: Partner with schools, community groups, and agencies to create meaningful change.
Grow Professionally: Engage in ongoing professional development and advocacy efforts at local, state, and national levels.
Chestnut Health Systems is a leading provider of behavioral and primary health care services
Over four decades, Chestnut has grown to almost 800 committed, compassionate employees providing substance use, mental health, and primary care treatment to patients in Illinois and Missouri
We provide fully integrated care for all our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers
Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A.

Responsibilities
Design and implement youth substance use prevention and intervention programs.
Develop training programs for youth and adults, and coordinate community partnerships.
Manage budgets, conduct needs assessments, and ensure the collection and submission of evaluation data.
Participate in advocacy groups and contribute to the continuous improvement of our programs.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience OR a master’s degree with 2+ years of experience in behavioral health or education
Expertise in substance use prevention and intervention.
Proven experience working with youth, and advanced skills in Microsoft Office and online systems.
A valid driver’s license, private insurance, and the ability to travel within the service area are required.

Must be able to obtain DCFS CANTS Child Abuse Clearance
