About the Job
The Complex Financial Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of three hotels within the organization. This role requires strategic planning, financial analysis, and leadership to drive financial performance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The director will work closely with senior management to develop financial strategies that support the hotels' goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize financial performance across the three hotel properties.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance for each hotel.
- Analyze complex financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management regarding hotel performance.
- Collaborate with hotel management teams to understand financial implications of operational decisions.
- Lead the financial planning and analysis team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal financial controls across all properties.
- Prepare and present consolidated financial reports to stakeholders, including the Board of Directors.
- Monitor key financial metrics for each hotel and identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial management experience, with a focus on the hospitality industry.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards relevant to the hospitality sector.
- Proficient in financial software and tools, including ERP systems and advanced Excel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, balance, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 6 hours.
