Component Rework Assembler - Astrodyne TDI

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

The Component Rework Assembler is proficient at repairing electronic assemblies through component level replacement/soldering, wiring, and general assembly. The job requires the use of small hand tools, soldering irons, and the ability to follow disposition records.  This position also includes record-keeping and/or simple data entry, and also requires interaction with stockroom employees.

WORK PERFORMED:

• Follow Military standards and ISO guidelines
• Rework service return units down to the component level
• Assure finished products pass quality standards
• Attach jumpers, components, heat sinks, etc. where needed to assure units are ready for testing

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: 

High School Diploma/GED required

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

• 3 years of experience working with electronic components / assemblies
• Soldering:  IPC 610 – Class 3 Training Certificate preferred; Class 2 is acceptable, however nothing below a Class 2 is qualified
• Strong attention to detail necessary
