Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, the Component Technician will prepare components from multiple collection bags in accordance with all SOP’s and work instructions. In addition, you will ensure quality of product in accordance with all NYBC’s Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions and regulatory standards, as well as following and practicing cGMP in all work.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the production of component products
- Preparing documents and keeping logs associated with receiving, processing and labeling
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring safe and adequate work environment
- Maintaining storage areas of carious blood products
- Shipping and packaging designated products for research and discards
- Maintaining proper inventory levels of equipment and supplies
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
One year of experience in a continuous processing environment setting is preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Interpersonal skills to handle a variety of issues and situations. Position requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy in dealing with a variety of staff.
Ability to plan and organize job tasks or resources in an efficient manner.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
All salaries are pursuant to Local 1199 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Rate: $22.3061 Per Hour
