Production Supervisor

Hours: Monday - Friday 
Pay Rate:   $60,000 - $80,000 depending on experience
Location: Dayton Ohio 
Experience:  4+ years in Composites/related Manufacturing field

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervises all technicians and operations on the shift.
• Supervises manufacturing of complex composite products. Tasks to be managed may include preparing molds, preparing resins and fabric, oven set-up, resin transfer molding, monitoring process parameters (temperature, time, pressure, etc.), removal of product and trimming, clean-up, packing, etc.
• Responsible for collecting information from Program Leads/Managers and creating schedules for the manufacturing floor and operators.
• Responsible for managing manufacturing quality, including workmanship, functionality, product readiness, and complete and proper packing to meet delivery schedule, cost, and customer requirements.
• Liaise directly with the sales team, engineers, project leaders, and logistics personnel to ensure Master Production Schedule needs are met.
• Understand completely and adhere to AS9100 quality policies and procedures.
• Proactively identify problems in the manufacturing of products and the use of machinery and equipment and provide recommended solutions to management.
• Responsible for properly tracking usage and disposition of materials used in production and for care and proper usage of company tools and equipment.
• Adhere to the highest practicable safety and housekeeping standards and perform both daily and weekly housekeeping duties.
• Trains, evaluates, reviews, and develops technicians.
• Ensures that established policies, rules, regulations, and procedures are followed.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
• Will sometimes be required to travel to customer facilities to assist with installation and start-up of products.

Skills Required:

• Negative drug screen and favorable background check (Note: we are a smoke free facility)
• Associates Degree and four to five (4-5) years of experience in a related field
• Prior composite and/or polymers and/or resin experience.
• Knowledge and experience with heavy product transportation (e.g. cranes & forklifts)
• Ability to read mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings, schematics, and diagrams
• Mechanical assembly and disassembly of large products, desired.
• Experience with electronic time logging (i.e. into a Corporate Computer System) and Microsoft Word and Excel.
