Computer/Network Support Technician at TEKsystems

Our customer is actively seeking a candidate for a computer/network support technician. Candidates should have two years or more of experience supporting customers with basic help desk and network support issues.

Description:

A. Computer/Network Support

1. Install, configure, and support the LAN, WAN, and Internet system or a segment of a

network system.

2. Maintain and track network hardware and software.

3. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform

necessary tasks to support network availability.

4. Create and maintain systems documentation.

5. Maintain and Monitor computer backups and procedures and imaging.

B. Help Desk

1. Troubleshoot all information technology issues, including software, hardware and

networking.

2. Install and update desktops, laptops, Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), peripherals,

networks, and related software.

3. Assist Information Technology (IT) System/Network Administrator in analysis and

documentation regarding LAN/WAN operations.

4. Contact external vendors for troubleshooting issues as directed.

5. Create, maintain and perform preventative maintenance on desktops and servers.

6. Perform administrator level setup and maintenance for users’ network and e-mail

accounts to include Department of Financial Services’ (DFS) remote access.

7. Provide technical assistance and end-user support as needed.

C. Print all claims system checks.

D. Maintain the telephone system (hardware and software).

E. Secure quotes from vendors as directed.
