The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is headquartered in Washington, DC. FDIC?s Virginia Square campus, including the L. William Seidman Center, is a multi-building complex located in Arlington, Virginia. Amenities at the Virginia Square campus include a fitness center, cafeteria, two large auditoriums, and classrooms with state-of-the-art audio/visual resources utilized by FDIC employees and state banking agencies. The campus includes a 350-room extended-stay style residence center for students and instructors attending classes at the Virginia Square campus. Situated on 9.5 acres, the Virginia Square campus is a short drive from FDIC's headquarters in Washington, D.C. It is easily accessible by public transportation at the Virginia Square Metro stop on the Orange Line. Both FDIC locations host training, meetings, and corporate events.
As the Conference Planning Manager, you will support our team at the FDIC Training Center in Arlington, VA. The Conference Planning Manager will coordinate all special event requests. They will coordinate efforts with Senior Conference Planning Manager, Executive Chef, and Food and Beverage Manager, to properly meet the needs of the account.

Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of assigned bookings to include, but not limited to, AV needs Room Set-ups, Food & Beverage, Meeting Materials, Rentals, Billings, Parking, etc.
- Review banquet event orders to ensure information is up to date and accurate.
- Inspect status of meetings or classroom set-ups.
- During room inspection, notify the appropriate departments for items, which may be missing from set-up instructions. Example: tables, skirting, water, A/V etc. Ensure that all items are followed up on.
- Coordinate refreshes and changes to all meeting rooms with the appropriate operating department.
- Immediately meet with the Client and verify that set-ups are correct. Ask if there are any last-minute changes. Check with the Client throughout the day.
- Ensure that all client and participant requests are handled within fifteen minutes.
- Complete a weekly walk-through of all meetings and classrooms to monitor for maintenance requests and other needs.
- Attend weekly & daily BEO meetings to review any changes in upcoming programs or special events.
- Ensure that classroom support inventory levels are maintained.
- Represent ARAMARK and the Conference Center in such a manner as to enhance their reputation.
- Maintain a high level of morale and cooperation.
- Use good judgment, common sense, and fairness in decisions with all team members.
- Program Management of Corporate Meetings, University Programs and ,Social Business as assigned
- Perform the above as well as additional assigned duties by the Conference Services Director.
Qualifications
- 2 years supporting conference or events services.
- Knowledge of CVENT, WebEx, MS Teams, and various virtual meetings is strongly preferred
- Certified Meeting Planner and or Certified Government Meeting Planner certification is strongly preferred
- Should endeavor to meet the client's conditions of employment process (government background)
