Maximus is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to support U.S. Transportation Command (TRANSCOM). The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and documenting system configurations, ensuring that any changes to the system are properly reviewed and implemented. This position will collaborate with a dynamic team, overseeing change control and maintaining system integrity across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Document and coordinate changes to system configurations.
- Implement and maintain configuration management (CM) plans, including provisions for configuration identification, change control, and status accounting.
- Review requested changes and ensure they are properly implemented.
- Support Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings and act as a liaison between developers and the CCB.
- Maintain records of software and hardware configurations, ensuring alignment with baseline documentation.
- Perform configuration audits to ensure compliance with established baselines.
- Collaborate with development teams during the software development life cycle to support release management.
- Develop documentation guidelines and ensure all CM activities adhere to DoD standards and policies.
- Administer configuration databases and track configuration items (CIs).
Minimum Requirement:
- Candidates must have an active Secret security clearance.
- High School Diploma.
- 4 years of experience in configuration management or a related field.
- ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation (preferred).
- Familiarity with DoD systems and processes is highly desirable.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Git, Jenkins, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of software development and release management processes.
Desired Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with various stakeholders.
- Experience working with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
