LMI is seeking a Senior Configuration Management (CM) Analyst to support a federal program management office (PMO) charged with planning, acquiring, and managing the deployment and operation of technology and capabilities to keep our borders safe. We are seeking energetic self-starters who are focused on practical and efficient solutions delivered by an interdisciplinary, collaborative team. The candidate will join our Technical and Engineering Team and provide full-time support to the client’s program management office, located in Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities:You will provide configuration management and product lifecycle management support for the client’s acquisition programs throughout their acquisition lifecycles, from program inception to program award, system deployment, operation, modification, and disposal. You will be responsible for developing CM plans, establishing and maintaining CM baselines, and conducting a full range of configuration management activities including identification, control, status reporting, and audits. Specific responsibilities include:
- Develop CM plans and procedures
- Create/Update CM Documentation Templates as the Programs/Process evolve
- Create Instructions on how to use the modified or new templates
- Establish and maintain CM baselines (including functional baselines, allocated baselines, and product baselines)
- Work with the In-Service Engineering Agent as required to jointly manage product baselines
- Lead or support Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)
- Lead or support Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)
- Lead or support Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
- Conduct trade studies and recommend CM tools as required
- Provide timely and accurate status reporting to program management and engineering teams
- Support documentation management
- Complete understanding of Change Management (CM) process within Service NOW.
- Complete understanding of Change Request (CR) process.
- Complete understanding of Change Control Board (CCB) and approval process.
- Proficient working with Microsoft products; Teams and Office
- 4 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Experience in performing configuration management and product lifecycle management
- Experience in supporting CCB and ECP processes
- Experience in using CM and/or PLM tools
- Preferred: Familiar with Government program acquisition process
- Preferred: Familiar with DHS or DoD acquisition life cycle framework and systems engineering life cycle framework
- Strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills, communication skills, and leadership skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, independent performer who can perform well in a collaborative, team environment
- Some travel (one week every 2-3 months) within the United States will be required.
- All positions require eligibility to acquire CBP BI, for which you must be a U.S Citizen. Highly Preferred: Active U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) BI.
