Construction Crew Lead, Stormwater - Dragonfly Pond Works

Equipment Operator - Labor, Stormwater

Our Crew Leader Responsibilities:

Reporting to a Regional Manager, this field-based position is an integral component to the smooth and profitable execution of work in the field. The crew leader's responsibilities include:

• Repairing ponds, lakes, and other stormwater control measures, including: excavation, grading, dredging, erosion repairs, pipe installation, SCM conversion, turf establishment, mowing, planting, invasive plant treatment, or removal, etc.
• Track labor hours and materials to stay within budget
• Read and understand engineering, survey, and grading plans
• Shoot grades in the field to ensure sites are built as designed
• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner as necessary to complete project scope
  • Includes, but is not limited to mini-excavator, skid steer, large excavator, slope mowers, hand tools, etc.
• Communicate effectively with Regional Managers and all project stakeholders to clarify project scope as needed and to avoid return visits to project sites.
• Monitor site activities of technicians and lead by example to encourage maximum productivity and safe work practices
• Complete and submit thorough Project Completion Reports

What you need

• Background and experience in lake/pond maintenance, construction, landscaping, commercial mowing, turf management, pesticide application, grading, erosion control
• Background and experience as a Crew leader, foreman, supervisor.
• Completes services on accounts in a professional manner
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems on the job site
• Ability to regularly work on slopes, around water and in variable weather conditions
• Executes tasks with high attention to detail and to timely completion of jobs
• Results-driven
