About the Job
We are seeking experienced Construction Site Field Inspectors to join our team of professionals to provide safety oversight on various electrical-focused construction projects. Applications MUST have experience in the electrical trade to be considered, no exceptions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform construction inspections on various electrical installations both public & private as a safety inspector focused on identifying electrical safety hazards of the work at hand.
- Monitor contractors' daily activities and perform required field inspections and testing using applicable field testing and inspection procedures and equipment.
- Prepare daily field inspection reports, including communicating deficiencies observed in the field to Project Managers, Resident Engineers, contractors, and/or client representatives.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and other construction documents, including work orders and build documents.
- Follow and enforce Company and project safety and quality management protocols.
- Perform all related duties as required to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction safety oversight.
- Experience as electrician or in electrical trades, valid NYC 62-Hour Site Safety Training (SST), and NYC 4-hour supported scaffold user.
- Strong knowledge of safety and health rules and regulations for construction sites.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including workers, supervisors, and management.
