Construction Estimator - Commercial GC - Base Salary to 120k/year - Dallas, TX

• They are seeking a Construction Estimator to join their team in Texas. The Construction Estimator will play a critical role in the pre-construction process, providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of estimating experience within the commercial construction industry, with a strong understanding of various construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans, specifications, and other project documents.
• Conduct thorough take-offs, material and labor cost evaluations, and develop comprehensive bid proposals.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to clarify scope, specifications, and other project requirements.
• Assess potential project risks and propose mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure.
• Review subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure completeness and accuracy and negotiate pricing as necessary.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and bid openings as required.
• Continuously research and stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and new technologies.
• Prepare bid packages and submit them on time, ensuring all required documentation is included.
• Support the project team in value engineering efforts to optimize costs without compromising quality.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as an Estimator within the commercial construction industry.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as ProEst, Bluebeam, or similar tools, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with project management processes and documentation.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 100k – 120k/year range
