We have immediate opening for a Field Engineer in the Charlotte, NC Area to join our team and support the organization, while providing direct assistance to the Project Managers and Superintendents to help ensure
projects run smoothly from start to finish.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following(other duties may be assigned):
- Robotic Field Engineer / Construction Surveyor.
- Establish jobsite Control Network for use by all trades and technologies.
- Evaluate and incorporate Subcontractor submittals including shop drawings needed to verify buildability and identify potential conflicts
- Supervise and educate Rod persons and other crew members.
- Identify need for Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Maintain as-built drawings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Must adhere to safety protocol.
Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience:
- 3 years of experience as a Field Engineer or Survey Crew Chief is preferred.
- Knowledge of, or ability and willingness to learn, many different software programs to include but not limited to Autodesk, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Carlson.
- Ability and willingness to collaborate with the entire Project Team.
- General knowledge of BIM and its processes.
- Must be able to work at elevated heights, frequently lift materials weighing up to 70 lbs. and work in outside all weather conditions.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, shop drawings, procedure manuals, and safety rules.
- Experience with data collectors, electronic or robotic total stations, digital levels, tripod, prism, computers.
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
- Higher math skills (algebra and trigonometry).
- Must have basic Survey knowledge.
