We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven individual to lead and manage construction projects from conception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing construction projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of the construction industry, excellent leadership skills, and a strong ability to communicate and negotiate effectively.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
2. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
3. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
4. Review the work progress on a daily basis.
5. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
6. Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
7. Ensure that all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
8. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
9. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
10. Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain necessary permits and licenses.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry as a Project Manager or a similar role.
2. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
3. Proven track record of construction project management from conception to completion.
4. Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
5. In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
6. Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations as well as quality standards and human resources.
7. Competent in conflict and crisis management.
8. Excellent time and project management skills.
9. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
10. Strong leadership and team building abilities.
11. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
12. A valid certification such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) will be an advantage.
