As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a variety of construction projects from pre-construction to post-construction. Working closely with the Director of Construction, and Construction Managers, you'll ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communication & Reporting: Act as the primary contact for field teams, providing support and regular project progress updates. Maintain thorough documentation, including daily logs, change orders, and progress reports.
- Job Costing: Track and monitor job costs, adjusting as necessary to ensure project profitability. Review and approve invoices, monitor expenses, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Project Plan Review: Review project plans, timelines, and specifications, identifying potential issues and collaborating with the team to resolve them.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the construction team to ensure seamless communication and resource flow, aligning project goals with budget and schedules.
- Quality Control: Uphold high-quality standards by conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues that arise. Ensure that all projects meet specifications and industry standards.
- Protocol & Culture: Foster a positive and safe work environment, leading by example, and promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Training & Development: Participate in ongoing industry training and contribute to the development and training of new team members.
- Continuous Improvement: Always be ready to take on tasks outside your regular scope, contributing to the overall success of Apex.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of pool construction (preferred, but not required).
- Prior experience managing multiple residential and commercial projects simultaneously is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Strong knowledge of construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and job costing principles.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Florida building codes and industry regulations (preferred)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Salary & Benefits:
- Full Time
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000, based on experience.
