CDM Smith is looking for a passionate candidate to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania! This is a great role for new graduates and those looking to jump-start their career in the construction industry at a company that hires for careers, not jobs!
The Construction Representative will, under direct supervision, perform construction inspections of basic to moderate complexity and evaluate the condition of structures. They will document deterioration, structural condition, and any needed sampling. Their role may include documenting deficiencies between the design and execution of construction and providing reports to project leadership of these deficiencies. The Construction Representative will perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or Vocational Technical degree or equivalent. 2 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English. Basic knowledge of arithmetic. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Ability to adapt to new technologies and quickly learn new computer, smartphone or related applications and programs. Basic knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in construction. Ability to read, understand, interpret and explain construction plans and drawings, contract provisions, and specifications. Basic knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in construction.
Background Check and Drug Testing Information:
