RES is looking to add a Construction Representative (APM) to be based out of our Lititz, PA Office.
The mission: Provide critical subcontractor and vendor quality control as the owner's representative for integrated delivery projects. This role requires significant overnight travel, ranging from 75% to 100%.
What your day-to-day might look like?:Owners Representative. As the company’s representative during construction, you will exemplify RES' core values. This involves effectively and concisely interacting with project partners, including vendors, subcontractors, clients, and landowners while on an active construction site. You will need to communicate these interactions back to the internal project team accurately and promptly and report daily progress and burn rates back to the Construction Administrators, Project Managers, and Operations Managers, ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
Quality Assurance and Quality Control. You will utilize Trimble Robotic Station and other survey equipment to ensure projects meet specified tolerances within the project documentation. Proficiency in using GPS/Survey equipment for field stakeout, QA/QC, and as-built surveys is essential. Training others to use this equipment will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that all team members can perform these tasks competently.
Vendor and Subcontractor Management. Understanding the priority, value, and reliability of each vendor/subcontractor will be crucial. You will train others in RES basic construction, regulatory, and design principles for the successful execution of the Construction, Restoration, and M&M phases of a full delivery project.
Regulatory Compliance. Understanding and ensuring that projects maintain compliance with permit conditions is critical. You will regularly check and verify compliance throughout the construction phase to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
Tracking and Record Keeping. Keeping detailed daily work logs and tracking progress throughout the construction phase is a vital part of your responsibilities. This includes tracking physical progress, material usage, and equipment usage. You will communicate this progress and quantity tracking back to the operations and project management team efficiently.
Design and Budgeting. You will support the development of a construction/restoration project budget and project schedule. Deep understanding of how to read and interpret project plans, design plans, and E&S plans will be crucial. You will also train others to understand these documents, ensuring everyone involved can follow and implement the plans accurately.
Qualifications:We would love to speak with you if you have many of the following:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 2-3 years of construction or ecological restoration experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint
- Proficiency in using GPS/Survey equipment for field stakeout, QA/QC, and as-built surveys.
- OSHA 30 certification
- Certification in CPR - AED/ First aid training.
- Experience in highlighting and resolving construction and design-related issues
- Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record
- Experience in Trailer Towing
- Experience in UTV Operations
What will make you stand out?
- BS/BA in one of the following: Environment Science, Biology, Ecology, Geology, Applied Science, or similar field.
- 2-3 years of progressive construction experience at RES or a similar company
Physical Demands:
- Walking on steep and uneven terrain
- Carry and walk with weights up to 50lbs
- Extended time spent outdoors in all types of weather conditions
