About the Job
MetroPower is seeking a Tooling Manager to coordinate the organizational functions of the equipment, tooling and assist with coordination of equipment movement in and out of the yard or between jobs. The Tooling Manager will work closely with company operations and Branch employees. The individual will perform a wide variety of administrative tasks assisting management in the execution of duties. The position requires professional communication, computer, and customer service skills.

- Support Branch and overall operations with various equipment and tooling needs.
- Checking employer-owned equipment in and out of the yard as it pertains to your Branch.
- Perform random evaluations and immediately take non-compliant employer-owned equipment out of service. Communicate issues with supervisors.
- Maintain frequent communication with management regarding equipment condition, including damage reporting
- Complete a thorough check on all employee-owned equipment prior to transferring to jobsite locations.
- Load, unload, and deliver employee-owned equipment to and from job sites.
- Experience with operating and/or maintaining dual axel trailers.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Ensure all employee-owned equipment are capable of operating in a safe manner
- Properly maintain all logs and records. Coordinate and ensure DOT inspections, annual inspections and dielectric testing is complete on equipment.
- Work with others to keep yard and facility organized, safe and well maintained.
- Support and assist Fleet Administrator and Yard Manager with maintaining appropriate service and repair records and researching and purchasing equipment parts and supplies.
- Train and direct the work of other classified staff in the area, as needed
- Supervise yard personnel, delivery drivers and mechanics for your Branch.
