The Role in Brief:
Consultant and Principal, Armed Forces Recruitment
The Consultant and Principal, Armed Forces Recruitment collaborates with our internal teams to ensure partner (i.e., client) growth, success, and renewals. This position is an opportunity for candidates to demonstrate their commitment to military partners by providing strategic and tactical consulting advice and bringing expertise to diagnose opportunities and recommend EAB’s proven, customized, data-driven enrollment solutions to prospective partners. Performance metrics for the role include retaining and growing overall revenue and profitability in armed forces recruitment and uniformed personnel enrollment solutions.
This role reports to the Senior Vice President; the successful candidate may work in Richmond, VA; Washington, D.C.; or remotely within the continental United States.
Primary Responsibilities:
New Partner Development:
- Work collaboratively with the partner development (sales) team to help present the value of EAB services from a practitioner's point of view; activities can include conducting strategic discovery, data requirements analysis, expert scoping, ROI analysis, custom opportunity assessments, and presentation/demonstration of EAB products and services.
- Leverage all available resources to strategically identify and contact qualified executives and organizations.
- Strategize with the team on the most appropriate suite of services to meet the prospective partners’ enrollment needs.
- Keep current on industry trends and maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary services and vendors and how to position EAB in relation to them.
- Serve as an ambassador and key presenter for EAB products during sales visits, webinars, and industry events such as conferences and trade shows.
Partner Strategy & Relationship Management:
- Establish strong relationships and trust with decision makers/leaders.
- Lead regular virtual and in-person meetings and support other ad hoc consulting needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of each partner’s goals, opportunities, and challenges.
- Deliver outstanding service and superior guidance and counsel.
- Meet overall revenue and renewal targets in support of larger business objectives.
- Develop and drive consultative partner interactions, with a focus on product growth and expansion strategy.
- Participate in regular revenue tracking meetings with senior leadership to communicate growth opportunities, renewal risks, and trends; generate plans/strategies for how to achieve revenue and renewal goals across the assigned pool of accounts.
Corporate Marketing Support:
- Assist the corporate marketing team to conceive, create, and deliver thought leadership presentations in the form of webinars and conference presentations.
Travel:
- Up to 60% of the time to support partners and prospects.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 8 -10+ years of experience, including extensive service in the United States armed forces.
- Relevant experience in an armed forces personnel recruitment and/or military marketing communications leadership role.
- Proven success in developing strategic initiatives and achieving enrollment/recruitment goals.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and communication skills (written, oral presentations, and listening).
- Effective analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
Ideal Qualifications:

- Experience representing products or services to external partners in a trusted, consultative capacity.

Compensation:
The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $126,000 - $155,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.
This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
