The Content Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of business solutions that cross over multiple functional areas of the company including Operations, Accounting, Information Systems, Marketing and Human Resources and further to analyze and coordinate product information from RBI. Maintain knowledge of the applications and recommend solutions to business initiatives as the restaurant industry changes including automation, quality, and efficiency improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Review and assist in the planning of marketing product information and events which may include new items, price, promotions, taxation, menus, kitchen routing, recipes, yields, conversion factors, supplier items, site uniqueness and ordering restrictions on digital platforms and in store systems.
- Prepare documentation and checklists as needed to make updates for discounts, promotional offers/bundles, local market tests, price changes to POS, Digital Menu Boards, Digital Platforms including Delivery solutions.
- Assist with making database updates to the POS/Kitchen, Digital Menu Boards, Inventory Applications and Digital Platforms as assigned.
- Assist with organization and documentation of authorized items available for ordering from each distribution center.
- Prepare documentation and checklists for making inventory application updates for order guides, new/discontinued items.
- Daily transactional processing verification for data sent to and received from sites.
- Assist with tasks related to software updates to POS/Kitchen, Digital Menu Boards, kitchen production system, and Inventory Application, Enterprise Data Management(EDM) documenting and validating changes before update is sent to sites.
- Maintain an understanding of the devices, interfaces used and data delivery requirements, such as BKC API & transactional data and Digital Platforms.
- Assist with preparing materials for SOX Audit, Internal Audit, and Operations presentations such as the monthly Region Director material.
- Assist with establishing priorities on project tasks and objectives based upon needs.
- Assist the technical team in the automation of program changes to reduce operational impact at the sites.
- Assist with projects/tasks related to updates for POS/Kitchen, Inventory, kitchen production systems, Digital platforms, and EDM as they arise, including validation of vendor software updates.
- Validation of changes to be completed in the labs and/or pilot sites to ensure acceptable results before deploying changes to all sites.
- Write a Home Office mail memo explaining changes at a restaurant level understanding.
- Document defects and software requirements for all in-house and third-party software applications.
- Demonstrate excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Write helpdesk knowledge articles, department documentation and procedures as needed. '
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive company material and information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Education:
- High School Diploma required.
- Additional education in a computer related field is a plus.
- Experience in restaurant operation procedures is a plus.
- Restaurant and/or retail application background in POS, Inventory or Kitchen management, including supervisory responsibilities is a plus.
- Proficient use of current Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of current Windows operating system is a plus.
- Understanding of SQL queries for relational databases is a plus.
- Conceptual understanding of networking & PC architecture.
- Ability to learn software applications with minimal training is required.
- Understanding of remote support communication software is a plus.
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - 25.00 per hour depending on experience. Pay is to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
