They are seeking a skilled Controller Consultant to enhance their financial operations. This hybrid role offers a flexible work environment, combining remote work with in-office collaboration, and is crucial for supporting their mission-driven initiatives.

Role Overview:
As a Controller Consultant, you will play a vital role in enhancing our clients' financial operations. You will oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards, while also providing strategic insights to drive informed decision-making. Your expertise in Sage Intacct will be crucial in optimizing financial processes and delivering high-quality reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
  • Develop and implement reporting frameworks that meet client needs, including budget vs. actual analysis and variance reporting.
  • Collaborate with clients to create meaningful dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) for effective financial management.

• Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist clients in the development of annual budgets and multi-year forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

• Compliance and Audit Support:

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, preparing necessary documentation for audits.
  • Liaise with external auditors, providing support and guidance throughout the audit process.

• Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvement in financial reporting and accounting practices.
  • Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role, with a strong background in financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct is required; experience with other accounting software is a plus.
• Previous experience in nonprofit organizations is highly desirable.
