We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious and dedicated professional to make a substantial impact on our company's financial operations. The Permanent Controller will oversee all aspects of our financial activities, including forecasting, accounting, strategic planning, financial modeling, cost accounting, and risk management. You will be responsible for ensuring all financial operations are in compliance with GAAP, SOX, and SEC reporting requirements.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations, including forecasting, accounting, strategic planning, financial modeling, cost accounting, and risk management.
2. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including GAAP, SOX, and SEC reporting requirements.
3. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including 10K and 10Q reports.
4. Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury accounts.
5. Develop and implement effective financial strategies to support the company's goals and objectives.
6. Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
7. Implement and manage ERP systems to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
8. Evaluate financial risks and develop effective risk management strategies.
9. Collaborate with other department heads to develop and implement company-wide financial strategies and initiatives.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial management role, preferably in the Engineering industry.
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, SEC reporting, and other relevant financial regulations.
4. Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning.
5. Experience with cost accounting and risk management.
6. Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
8. Proficiency in ERP systems and other financial software.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of an organization.
10. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
11. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
