Controller - Robert Half

Description We are seeking a Controller to join our team located in Kent, Washington. This role is integral to our team, with responsibilities spanning the oversight of daily finance and accounting functions, business planning and forecasting, cash flow management, and ensuring the timely completion of deliverables. You will collaborate with other teams across the company and drive continuous process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities: - Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting team, including accounting and financial reporting, job costing, pricing strategy updates, and data analytics. - Take charge of business planning and forecasting, cash flow planning and management, and working capital strategy. - Manage accounts payable and receivable, including bill plans, invoicing, and collections. - Oversee monthly close, bank account and other account reconciliations, and tax filings and compliance. - Work closely with agents to understand and manage insurance coverage/policies/renewals. - Coordinate with external CPA for annual income tax returns and work with plan administrators regarding 401k and HSA plans. - Ensure continued compliance with plans and support business compliance licenses and filings. - Maintain and lead the finance and accounting team, ensuring proper team composition to reflect company needs. - Conduct regular touch points with team members, manage team performance, and delegate tasks appropriately. - Guide business financial decisions through complete, accurate, and timely data and analysis. - Ensure proper processes and segregation of duties to support the quality, completeness, and accuracy of financial information, procedures, and systems. - Collaborate with teams and leadership across the company and participate and/or lead management meetings. - Identify areas for improvement in finance and accounting processes and execute on chosen initiatives. The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $145,000. Benefits available with this position include medical, dental and vision; life and disability insurances; participation in the company's 401(k) plan with match and 15 days of paid vacation, 5 days of paid sick leave and 10 paid holidays per calendar year.
