Job Details
We are a highly regarded law firm looking for a seasoned Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management and reporting. This role will play a key part in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring compliance with legal and tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the firm’s entire financial function, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and partner draws.
- Develop and maintain financial controls and ensure timely financial reporting.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, client trust accounting, budgeting, and financial audits.
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership for decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor accounting team members, driving performance and improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, law firm experience highly desirable.
- Expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit preparation.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software (SAGE, QuickBooks) and financial analysis.
